Construction, Power & Mining Myanmar 2014 – Raising Industry To New Heights

Construction, Power & Mining Myanmar 2014 delivered its 2nd successful edition, taking place 30 October to 1 November 2014 at the Myanmar Convention Centre (MCC Hall), Yangon and continued to raise Myanmar’s industries to new heights.

Construction, Power & Mining Myanmar is the 3-in-1 industry event for business growth combining Building & Construction Myanmar, Electric Power & Renewable Energy Myanmar and Mining Myanmar.

The event was opened by H.E. U Nyan Tun U, Minister, Ministry of Electric Power and Industry Yangon Region Government, H.E. Dr Pwint San, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Commerce, U Aung Khaing, President, Yangon Electricity Supply Board, U Zaw Min Win, Vice Chairman of Union of Myanmar Federation of Chamber of Commerce (UMFCCI) and Chairman of Myanmar Industries Association (MIA), U Aye Lwin, Secretary General of Myanmar Federation of Mining Association and the organiser Mr. Justin Pau, General Manager, Bangkok Exhibition Services (BES) Ltd, An Allworld Exhibitions Member.

The event received strong feedback from exhibitors, visitors and supporters alike. Comments included; the quality and number of the visitors at the show is high and many returning exhibitors from the first show said they have seen a big improvement in the quality of visitors from one year ago. Visitors are professional, have a lot of interest in new products and technology and ask the right questions. Construction, Power & Mining Myanmar is truly the largest and most international trade event in Myanmar for Myanmar. It is a meeting place for professionals and a place to develop business.

The event presented 177 exhibitors from 27 countries, 4 international pavilions from China, Korea, Singapore and Thailand, the first International Mining Myanmar Mining Conference 2014 and company seminars from ABB, JCB, Liebherr, Mobil, MSP Caterpillar, Scania, Sumitomo and Terex.

3,422 trade visitors attended from 28 countries over the 3 show days, with 87.65% from Myanmar.

The International Mining Myanmar Conference received great response from delegates with over 80 delegates attending across the 2 days. The conference presented speakers from Australia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and USA and was organised by International Mining who plan to return with the conference again next year.

Construction, Power & Mining Myanmar 2015 will return 29th to 31st October 2015 at Myanmar Convention Centre (MCC Hall), Yangon.
