ABX ArchitectureBoston Expo

ABX – ArchitectureBoston Expo is one of the largest and most influential trade shows for the architecture, construction, and design community in the U.S. Northeast.  Hosted by the Boston Society of Architects (BSA), the event draws architects, builders, engineers, interior designers, and landscape professionals.

The expo takes place at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC) — a major hub for large-scale events. With more than 300 exhibitors and 100+ accredited educational workshops, ABX offers a rich program of thought leadership and product innovation.  Attendees can earn continuing-education credits from associations like AIA, GBCI, and more.

ABX’s expo hall showcases cutting-edge building materials, sustainable technology, architectural finishes, and building-envelope innovations.  Whether you work on residential, commercial, or large-scale infrastructure, you’ll find relevant suppliers and new trends. The virtual expo hall — introduced in recent years — enables remote access to exhibitor booths, live meetings, and product demonstrations.

The conference program is organized into multiple tracks, covering topics such as sustainability, urban design, equity, and building performance.  Expert speakers lead workshops to help attendees deepen their skills, explore new ideas, and respond to regional building challenges.

Beyond education and exhibitions, ABX strongly emphasizes community and collaboration. Through its partnership with the Boston Society of Architects, it supports inclusion, equity, and sustainable design in the built environment.

Although ABX paused its in-person format in 2020, it successfully shifted to a fully virtual event, offering on-demand content and digital networking.  Plans for future in-person editions at the BCEC are listed on their website.

Overall, ABX | ArchitectureBoston Expo remains a must-attend event for professionals seeking innovation, education, and strong industry connections in the New England AEC sector.
