BOMAG will use the Executive Hire Show (6 & 7 February 2013, Ricoh Arena, Coventry) to launch the new BW 120AD-5 tandem roller, which will be available in the UK from mid-February.
BOMAG say, that all the ‘dash-5’ tandems offer significant improvements over the models they replace with market leading ergonomics, improved performance, enhanced durability and several unique features. The new model on show at EHS features an extensive specification as standard that includes working lights, a flashing beacon, an electronic fuel gauge, a comfortable fully adjustable seat with arm rests and a central lifting point.

Operator convenience and on-site performance are enhanced with an array of features including an ergonomic driving lever with integrated controls, separate vibration switches, 3 mode vibration control including ‘Intelligent Vibration Control’ that automatically controls vibration when the machine is moving and a pressurised water sprinkler system.
The performance of all BOMAG ‘dash-5’ models can be enhanced with a range of factory fitted options that includes a chip spreader, edge cutters, battery disconnect an electronic engine immobilizer and a sun roof.
Hillhead 2012 saw the launch of the BOMAG BW 135 & 138AD-5 models, the first tandems in the world to offer optional ‘real-time’ compaction measurement. The unique BOMAG ECONOMIZER system, previously only available on reversible vibrating plates, is now available on selected ‘dash-5’ tandem models. The integrated system measures compaction under the machine as in rolls giving the operator a clear indication, via an array of LED lights, of compaction progress. ECONOMIZER also indicates under and over compaction that can save expensive re-work.
All BOMAG light tandems and hand guided compaction machines are available from BOMAG’s extensive UK dealer network which has seen new appointments in the last 2 months. Glosrose Construction Sales now represents BOMAG in Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, South East London and South West London. Mawsley Machinery, the existing BOMAG dealer for Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire takes on Hertfordshire and North London for BOMAG. Existing BOMAG dealer Butler Reynolds takes on Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Hereford and Worcestershire giving them a consolidated territory throughout the East and West Midlands. And finally a new company, Boss Plant Sales, completes the appointments. Boss Plant Sales will cover Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and West London for BOMAG.
