AEM announces winners of Statistics Outstanding Merit Awards

Equipment market reports deliver timely, accurate & consistent data to member participants
The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has presented Statistics Outstanding Merit Awards to 28 equipment manufacturing companies for exemplary participation in AEM equipment-specific statistics programs, enhancing the association’s ability to deliver meaningful benchmarking and business-planning information to members.
Market information, including statistics and market intelligence, is a key AEM member service to help companies succeed in the global marketplace. The association operates more than 245 unique product statistics-reporting programs, ranging from county-level retail sales data in North America to shipments data on a worldwide basis.
The AEM statistics merit awards recognize manufacturers’ timely and accurate data submission, meeting attendance and timely responses to ballots, audits and surveys during the calendar year.
Companies earning an AEM statistics merit award have received a cumulative performance rating of 90 percent or better. To promote the highest level of statistics program quality, the awards now signify corporate-wide performance, with all company divisions needing to achieve winning scores.
AEM statistics programs are web-based and use a uniform reporting platform adopted by the global Intercontinental Statistics Committee.
AEM presented the merit awards for 2013 performance during its recent Annual Statistics Conference, held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The conference included an educational general session and meetings of several AEM statistical committees. During these conferences, members review product programs and discuss and vote on program refinements, to help ensure that AEM statistics provide optimum value to members.
