MOBA Mobile Automation will be presenting its portfolio for road construction, cranes and platforms as well as earthmoving at bauma 2025 in Munich. From 7 to 14 April, the mobile automation expert will be presenting the next generation of its sensor, assistance and control systems in Hall A2, Stand 237. Under the motto ‘Empowering Autonomous Machine Control’, MOBA will be presenting a number of ground-breaking innovations as well as a large number of tried-and-tested products in a new guise – enhanced and even more powerful.
The highlights of the trade fair appearance include the new IMU-6 sensor and the innovative MOBA Smart Positioning Controller (MSPC), which uses dual RTK GNSS technology and kinematic simulation to detect the position and movement of machines in real time. This enables precise control even in challenging environments, thereby increasing the efficiency of work processes. The new graphic displays from MOBA are also in the spotlight. Specially designed for OEMs, both the hardware and the software of the display series can be customised to individual requirements.
Visitors can also look forward to promising new developments for road construction and crane and platform applications.
SENSOR TECHNOLOGY AS THE KEY TO AUTONOMOUS ROAD CONSTRUCTION
In the field of road construction, for example, MOBA is offering several innovations: The new Edge Tracker is celebrating its trade fair première. The innovative sensor enables wire-free edge guidance by automatically recognising kerbs and roadways. Visitors can also find out about the Line Reader, which enables leveling based on a clearly defined reference line, for example a sprayed reference line – ideal for asphalting on narrow construction sites such as in tunnels or on bridges.
An extended version of Pave-TM, the sensor for automatic layer thickness measurement, will also be on show for the first time. The new sensor not only enables the automatic measurement of layer thickness, but also its automated control – a further step towards autonomous pavers. The state-of-the-art levelling sensors from MOBA are also on board again: the Super-Ski and the Sonic-Ski Plus. The latter impresses with its consistently optimised sensor technology. The sensor now recognises possible disruptive factors even more reliably, so that unevenness is detected more effectively and a more even road surface is achieved.
SAFE AND PRECISE: SOLUTIONS FOR CRANES AND PLATFORMS
In the ‘crane and platform’ segment, MOBA sets standards, particularly with MRW-Hybrid: the innovative load cell combines high-precision weighing technology with integrated tilt sensors. This enables overloads and critical tilt angles to be recognised at an early stage, reliably preventing dangerous situations.
With the MSSH sensor, the company is presenting a next-generation inclination sensor. With two different sensor elements per channel, the E1-approved sensor can compensate for vibrations as well as the so-called stick-slip effect and temperature drift. In addition, the modular HMImc operating units and the new, robust CAN-Light signalling light (protection class IP67) will be presented.
