bC India 2013: Quality it is!

Around 700 exhibitors from 33 countries have applied for bC India

bC India will again feature an extensive Supporting Program

It’s just a few more days until the second edition of  THE BAUMA CONEXPO SHOW – bC India opens its gates with a drum roll: A record number of around 700 exhibitors from 33 countries are taking part in the International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines and Construction Vehicles. The show takes place at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai from February 5 to 8, 2013 and will occupy a record 150,000 square meters of exhibition space.
Particularly pleasing is the fact that a host of key players will be participating in bC India 2013, among them Case, Caterpillar, Fayat Group, Hyundai, JCB, Kobelco, Liebherr, Liugong, Mahindra & Mahindra, Manitowoc, Nawa, Putzmeister, Puzzolana, Sany, Schwing Stetter, Tadano, Terex, Volvo, Voltas, Wirtgen, XCMG and Zoomlion-ElectroMech.
However, an impressive number of exhibitors is not the only highlight: As part of this trade fair, bC India is also providing a platform for industry leaders to participate in key discussions addressing issues specific to their sectors. The Builders’ Association of India (BAI), the Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (iCEMA) and the ASAPP Media Information Group will be organizing supporting events at the upcoming show.
The technical program will kick off on Wednesday, February 6, with iCEMA’s “Conference on Infrastructure Development – Deliverables and Imperatives”. The first session of the conference will focus solely on infrastructure development and examine its growth drivers. The conference will also see presentations on “ECE Industry – Now & Beyond”, the much talked-about “Dedicated Freight Corridor Project”, “Road & Highways”, “Urban Infrastructure” and “Port Development”. The second half of the session promises to be equally interesting with its focus on infrastructure financing vis-à-vis the Indian and international perspectives. The last session of the day will be on construction technology and skill development. The conference is being held at the Hotel Trident which is within walking distance of the bC India’s exhibition grounds.
On the following day, February 7, the ASAPP Media Information Group will hold its “5th Annual Equipment India Conference” at the Golconda Ballroom at the Hotel Trident. With a focus on meeting the ever increasing demand for construction equipment in India, not only will the annual conference provide the latest business and technical information about the industry, it will also be an amazing opportunity for equipment manufacturing companies, component manufacturing companies, users and service providers to share information and review the current market scenario. The conference promises to be a congregation of India’s top decision makers and opinion leaders from the construction and construction equipment industry.
Finally, also a part of the supporting program on the same day, the BAI is again organizing its “Top Buyers Conference”. With strong representation from the association’s 500 members from 150 centers spread across the country, the conference will definitely provide an interesting insight into issues confronting the Indian construction industry vis-à-vis government regulations. The participants will also be briefed on the latest trends in doing business by experts and discuss organizational matters. The meeting is by invitation only.
