Cabin Pressure Rises for AJC at Plantworx

At the inaugural UK construction machinery expo, entitled Plantworx, and under their EasyCabin brand, AJC Trailers exhibited one static and two mobile cabins from their expanding range of site welfare products.
Throughout the three days of Plantworx, AJC showcased their static ECO24 welfare unit, alongside the mobile ECO16 and ECO12 cabins. The ECO24 boasts a complete line of environmentally sensitive features and benefits; including a power preserving low voltage auto-start system that ensures the integral generator only operates when required. It has a heated canteen area catering for up eight persons and with PIR activated, energy saving LED lighting, an operators fuel bill is kept to an absolute minimum.

Alongside the ECO24, AJC placed their very popular, and equally environmentally biased mobile welfare unit, the ECO12 Junior. The ECO12 hosts up to five persons with a separate re-circulating flush tank toilet and a spacious drying room. This very compact unit has been constructed to withstand the rigours of a modern day construction rental fleet, yet has an un-laden weight of just 1640kg.
Completing the Plantworx line-up was the ECO16, with its separate drying and toilet, helping to provide modern, essential site welfare facilities for up to ten persons.
“Plantworx was a highly successful show for us,” said Lisa Gillett, AJC’s sales director. “Despite the rather changeable weather, we were very pleased with the number of visitors that came along to view our products. Not only did we meet up with many of our regular clients, we also made a number of new contacts which we expect to convert to sales in the very near future” added Lisa.
“With the help of Plantworx, we are now confident that the UK construction industry and its rental associates are aware that we can manufacture modern, static welfare facilities as well as our already well-known mobile units”, concluded Lisa.
AJC have been manufacturing mobile units since 1964, outgrowing several production facilities, until finally settling their headquarters in a modern 32,000 sq ft plant based in Luton, Bedfordshire. The company remains a family concern, keeping a hands-on approach to all management routines, with innovation as the key word in all procedures. They have inherent operations to ensure that all EasyCabin welfare units comply with The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992. AJC regularly monitor for any proposed amendments or additions to these regulations and are prepared to meet with future changes to the law.
Plantworx 2013 was held in May. It is planned to be a biennial working construction exhibition located at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire. Plantworx 2013 had over 100,000sqm of exhibition space and included live action of construction machinery, plant, tools, and services demonstrations. The organisers claim that nearly 12,000 visitors came to Plantworx over the course of three days.
