The CEA (Construction Equipment Association) is holding its annual conference on Thursday 27th October 2016 at the home of the Institute of Civil Engineers at One Great George Street, London.
This year’s conference will concentrate on exploring the construction equipment industry supply chain. So if you are an OEM, a component or attachment manufacturer, part of the aftermarket, a distributor or service provider – then this is one event on the conference circuit you will not want to miss.
Nick Higham renowned broadcaster and journalist returns again as MC having successfully piloted several conferences for both the CEA (Construction Equipment Association and CECE (Committee for European Construction Equipment).
The speakers include Jim Angus who is the Commercial Director of Integrated Vehicle Health Management (IVHM) Centre at Cranfield University – Jim will be discussing future proofing and disruptive technologies.
John Matthews, VP Purchasing & Supplier Management – Europe, Volvo CE will be offering advice on how to pitch to OEMs and providing excellent tips for component suppliers. Wayne Asprey who is the Group Purchase Manager at JCB will also be talking to delegates on this subject.
CEA Senior Technical Consultant Malcolm Kent will provide delegates with the very latest information on standards and technical constraints.
Mussa Mahomed, Group CEO, Nylacast Holdings will be talking about the next generation of advanced materials.
David Philips, MD, Off-Highway Research is taking a look at the global construction equipment market with a construction equipment market review.
Upskilling the workforce to meet new engineering challenges is also on the agenda – discussing this hot topic is Neil Withey who is the Director of the EEF Technology Training Centre.
Lombard Corporate Asset Finance will also be addressing the audience as will a representative from HM Government (speaker to be confirmed).
Other subjects at the conference will include – when supply chains go bad and life after BREXIT.
The event will also host a ‘Supplier Panel’. Where component and attachment suppliers’ will talk about their experiences in selling to the OEM.
