DEMO International® Opens Tomorrow

Maple Ridge, BC – More than two years of work have led to the opening of DEMO International®, which begins tomorrow and runs through Saturday in Maple Ridge, BC. This three-day forestry event is one of North America’s largest and most distinctive outdoor equipment shows.
DEMO International® is an “all live and in action, in-woods” equipment show, which features the latest technologies in equipment, products and services covering all aspects of woodlands operations. It is the flagship event of the Canadian Woodlands Forum and takes place every four years in a different location. This year, it is returning to the west coast for the first time in 16 years, and will be hosted by the Faculty of Forestry at the University of British Columbia.
“We couldn’t be more pleased that it’s finally show time!” said Mark Cusack, National Show Manager with Master Promotions Ltd. “It’s been a lot of hard work and planning to get to this stage. We’ve got close to 150 exhibitors all moved in and set up around a 3.2 km loop of roadway that was specially built for the show, and we’re expecting in the neighbourhood of 10,000 visitors to come and tour the site and meet with exhibitors over the next three days. Excitement is high since DEMO won’t be back again until 2020!”
As with past events, this year’s edition is expected to attract an international audience, with visitors already registered from New Zealand, Australia, Finland, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, India, the United States, the United Kingdom, and France. During the show, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers will hold a fundraising auction with proceeds going to UBC Forestry.
