Excitement Grows For Demo International® 2012

St-Raymond, Quebec – The anticipation is growing and the buzz is getting louder for one of the most unique forestry events in North America, that happens only once every four years; DEMO International®.
On June 14th, exhibitors, media and other industry stakeholders met at the Roquemont Hotel in St-Raymond for a preview of this world-class event.
Magella Morasse of the CLD Portneuf, was the Master of Ceremonies for the press conference, which included brief presentations by Peter Robichaud, Executive Director of the Canadian Woodlands Forum, Marc Bergeron of Solifor, which is hosting the 2012 event, Gaston Arcand, President of CLD Portneuf, Daniel Dion, Mayor of St-Raymond and Doris Moisan, Communications Officer for the Region of Portneuf.
Everyone was in agreement that the region of Portneuf is the ideal location for such a high caliber event as DEMO International®. The economic spinoffs for the region will be fantastic, as buyers from the forestry industry will be coming from all over North America and Europe. They will stay in area hotels, eat in local restaurants and enjoy regional attractions.
After morning meetings and a light luncheon, visitors were transported via motorcoach to the actual site location, La Seigneurie de Perthuis, which is located just 75km from Quebec City.
“This, our fourth and final site visit before the actual event, enjoyed the largest attendance and highest level of enthusiasm to date” Says Show Manager Mark Cusack. “ The media, exhibitors, Town of St.Raymond and the County of port neuf alike are excited and ready to welcome everyone to the “Olympics of Forestry Events; Demo International 2012,” said Cusack.
The “all live and in action, in-woods” equipment show will attract over 150 exhibitors featuring some of the biggest names in the business, showcasing the latest technologies in equipment, products and services. These industry leaders will cover all aspects of woodlands operations, from silviculture and harvesting practices, road construction, biomass harvesting, recovery and transportation systems, and private woodland management.
