An exciting attraction at this year’s Interbuild Onsite (NEC, Birmingham, 17-20 October 2010) will see the Flooring Industry Trade Association (FITA) once again take a prominent role in the event with the popular Flooring Demonstration area.
Delivered and supported by the organisation, which was formed by the National Institute of Carpet and Floorlayers (NICF) and the Contract Flooring Association (CFA) to provide a series of training courses covering all aspects of floor laying, the demonstration area promises to be educational, highly informative and a must for anyone involved in the commercial flooring sector. Each day industry experts will give live demonstrations covering floor laying skills and techniques, from sub-flooring preparation to installing materials effectively, whilst offering invaluable access to their experience. There will also be a chance to ask questions either during presentations or afterwards.
The FITA demonstration area will be a key part of Interbuild Onsite, the only annual trade show in the UK dedicated to the building trade. At the event, the daily demonstrations will follow a similar format to last year’s with revised content to ensure maximum relevance and value to the flooring community. Particular attention will be paid to the latest industry product innovations alongside best practice techniques and the wider benefits of joining a trade association.
“FITA are pleased to be supporting Interbuild Onsite again this year by offering the flooring demo zone. Practical demonstrations always attract interest to a show and none more than something presented by the leading training organisation for the flooring industry” said Richard Catt, Chief Executive Officer of the CFA. “Our theme this year is to show different installation specifications, from innovative subfloor materials to decorative floor finishes and everything in-between. Tools, best practice and tips of the trade are key features of the presentations we offer and make them informative to a wide ranging audience. We think 2010 at Interbuild Onsite is shaping up to be a good year.”
The team at Interbuild Onsite recognise the importance of industry training and are delighted with the return of the FITA flooring demonstrations. “The live flooring demonstration area proved very popular last year and will undoubtedly be one of the centrepiece attractions at Interbuild Onsite in 2010” says Event Director, David Pierpoint. “We are confident that we can once again show visitors practical, inside tips from the industry experts that will be invaluable to them in their day to day work.”
The tie-up with FITA ensures that exhibitors at Interbuild Onsite will benefit from fully rounded industry association support. Details of the programme will be available shortly together with information on how FITA members can get involved in the demonstration area.
