Prince George, BC – This past Friday and Saturday, one of Northern Canada’s most popular heavy equipment trade events took over Prince George, filling four acres acres of indoor and outdoor space at the CN Centre.
In total, 8,942 attendees attended the event which showcased a wide variety of big iron, including equipment, machinery, products and technology geared toward forestry, heavy construction, and major resources infrastructure.
“We enjoyed another very positive edition of the Canada North Resources Expo last week,” said Mark Cusack, National Show Manager. “It’s encouraging to see the community continue to embrace this event, as those from across the region come together every two years to celebrate the crucial resources industries we rely on. Plenty of new and returning exhibitors had great feedback from the two days.”
Families were at the show in full force on Saturday as part of “Future of the Industry” day. One adult admission covered the whole family, and children were able to walk around the show and climb aboard the huge displays of equipment.
Another major feature of the show was the 2019 Interior Safety Conference, held in partnership with BC Forest Safe. This year’s theme was “Safety Responsibilities – Everyone’s Role” and over 100 delegates were in attendance. The conference included topics such as managing fatigue, marijuana in the workplace, human factors and workplace injury prevention using physiotherapy. With the aim to provide practical information and tools for workers, supervisors, and managers, the conference overall was another successful component to the expo.
Producers would like to extend a warm thanks to everyone who attended and exhibited at this year’s show. Canada North Resources Expo will return in 2021. For complete show details, visit www.CNRE.ca or follow the show on Facebook and Twitter.
