MOGSEC 2020 Goes Virtual

To provide greater opportunities to the industry in light of the Impact of COVID-19

The Malaysian Oil & Gas Services Council (MOGSC) and Informa Markets are pleased to announce that the 5th Malaysian Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference (MOGSEC 2020), originally scheduled from 22 – 24 September 2020 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) has now been moved to take place virtually on the new dates of 6 – 9 October 2020.This decision is taken after careful consideration and close consultations with our key partners, our stakeholders, and the main integral figure of MOGSEC 2020, our exhibitors and visitors.

MOGSEC 2020 in virtual format will allow more time for normality and confidence to return to the marketplace, overcoming travel restrictions, and provide all around better business conditions for exhibitors and visitors to engage.

Despite the improving situation with Malaysia’s COVID-19 situation, there are still uncertainties arising from travel disruptions and other business circumstances. In response to the uncertain business landscape, we believe it would be a positive move for MOGSEC 2020 to take place virtually to ensure it continues its pivotal role in showcasing Malaysia’s Oil & Gas Service Providers to both domestic and international markets.

The virtual exhibition connects the entire value chain in the Malaysian oil and gas industry while at the same time includes a conference agenda helmed by MOGSC Working Groups, an elaborate business matching system along with other various ways to connect and encourage business growth, from a virtual base to actual materialization. MOGSC, the largest independent industry association representing the interest of the Oil & Gas service providers has and will always strive to champion the voice of the industry along with the almost 500 companies that it represents. “We believe that a Virtual MOGSEC is the way to go in light of the many uncertainties, particularly to financial and safety concerns. The proposed
virtual event can have more far reaching impact to exhibitors and more visitors are able to access MOGSEC at the comfort of their space and time. More innovative and attractive content will be available at a fraction of the cost of traditional exhibition and conferences will be presented to capture the value of visitor interaction with exhibitors.” said Sharifah Zaida, President – Malaysian Oil & Gas Services Council (MOGSC)”

We apologise for any inconvenience that the revised dates and event format may have caused and wish to thank all participants who has supported the MOGSEC brand since inception. The business return, health and wellbeing of our exhibitors and visitors remain our highest priority.

We look forward to having you with us, at the all-new Virtual MOGSEC 2020, 6 – 9 October 2020!
