Prince George, BC – In one month, one of the region’s most popular heavy equipment trade shows is making its return to the CN Centre. Taking place May 24 and 25, the Canada North Resources Expo is a showcase of the leading companies and products that are part of Northern Canada’s resources sectors.
This massive biennial event focuses on “the equipment to get the jobs done” and features four acres of indoor and outdoor space with tons of big iron, including equipment, machinery, products and technology geared to forestry, heavy construction, and major resources infrastructure.
“Canada North Resources Expo is the only event of its kind servicing this area of the country,” said Mark Cusack, National Show Manager. “Going into the show’s fourth edition, we’re looking forward to seeing a variety of new and returning key players from the industry, alongside thousands of professionals from across the region.”
Hundreds of companies will be onsite with the latest products, services, and equipment. For a glimpse at who will be there, the ever-growing exhibitor list is available on the show’s website.
Pre-registration for the 2019 edition of the Canada North Resources Expo is still available. Visitors are encouraged to take advantage of convenient online registration. By pre-registering, visitors can save 50% and fast-track their entrance to the show. Visitors are encouraged to follow the show’s Facebook page for opportunities to enter to win prizes and free admission.
For job seekers, planning is underway for a new piece to the event; a career fair to be held at the show on Saturday, May 25 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Participating companies will be recruiting onsite and looking to discuss current openings for their forestry-related businesses. Stay tuned for details!
Attendees can also plan to take in the 2019 Interior Safety Conference, in partnership with BC Forest Safe. This year’s theme is “Safety Responsibilities – Everyone’s Role” and the conference will include topics which include managing fatigue, marijuana in the workplace, human factors and workplace injury prevention using physiotherapy. The conference will provide practical information and tools for workers, supervisors, and managers. Registration for the conference is separate from show registration, and is available here.
