Following the economic crisis of the past few years, now that India has formed a new government, once again its economy is characterized by an atmosphere of guarded optimism that is increasingly influencing India’s construction and construction-machinery sector. As a result, the upcoming BAUMA CONEXPO SHOW – bC India, which takes place at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida / Delhi from December 15 to 18, 2014, will occupy some 120,000 square meters of space—approximately 30,000 square meters of hall space and some 90,000 square meters of outdoor exhibition space. Igor Palka, CEO of the organizer, bC Expo India, is very satisfied: “We understand that, despite all the positive signs, the Indian market is still struggling at this time, but we are very optimistic that a number of other companies will register to exhibit at the fair before it opens.”
Although the economic situation remains tense, several of the industry’s major manufacturers continue to take advantage of bC India as a presentation platform: Besides ACE, Amann, Aquarius, Bauer, BKT, Bomag, Herrenknecht, Kobelco and Liebherr, the companies that have registered for the fair also include Linnhoff, Liugong, JLG, Potain, Puzzolana, Sany, Schwing Stetter, Spartan, Terex, Volvo Penta, Wirtgen and Zoomlion. The presence of the sector for formwork and scaffolding will be particularly strong, and all key players including Doka, KumKang, Layher, Peri, Pranav and Ulma will be represented.
The third edition of the International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines and Construction Vehicles is still very well received at the international level: There will be a total of seven joint exhibits, i.e. from China, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Korea, Spain and the Unites States. As Palka knows, that is a good sign: “The support of our international partners and their commitment demonstrate that India is still extremely interesting for companies from around the world. I am convinced that the market will pick up again and that we will be able to offer our exhibitors and visitors a first-rate exhibition in December.”
