Onsite update: ICUEE 2011 posting strong numbers despite a still-uncertain economy

By the close of its first day, October 4, ICUEE 2011 had nearly 16,000 registered attendees, one of its strongest showings ever.
Registrants are from all 50 states, all 10 Canadian provinces and more than 40 other countries worldwide. The show runs through Thursday, October 6 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
“The show has been very positive with strong interest and people making buying decisions; there’s still uncertainty in the marketplace, but attendees tell us they need to prepare for future growth, and this is the place to find out what’s happening in the industry with the latest equipment and product innovations to meet the needs of tomorrow,” stated Show Director Melissa Magestro.
The 2011 International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE) features more than 800 exhibitors and more than 1.1 million net square feet of exhibit space – plus extensive hands-on equipment demonstrations in job-like conditions.
ICUEE 2011 offers a broader scope of education than ever before and new industry co-locations to extend the value of the show experience and enhance the industry-wide knowledge-sharing.
Returning to ICUEE are the H2O-XPO of the National Rural Water Association and the iP Safety Conference and Expo. The Association of Equipment Management Professionals (AEMP) is sponsoring a new Fleet Management Exhibit Pavilion and it also developed a show education track for fleet management professionals.
A Sustainable Energy Pavilion highlights “green” technology. The importance of jobsite safety is underscored in the iP Safety Arena at ICUEE and a new Safety Zone from the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO).
Updated numbers will be posted at the close of the show.
