On 24th May 2012 PLANTWORX is planning a ‘Countdown Event’ at Stoneleigh Park from 10.00am – 3.00pm. Simon Frere-Cook PLANTWORX Event Director said, “The ‘One Year to Go Event’ – is an excellent opportunity to come along and get familiar with the show and see what we have planned for 12 months’ time – it’s also a chance for companies considering exhibiting at the show to come along and find out all about the exhibition. As a brand new construction event it is vitally important we get things right first time to make PLANTWORX a successful on-going construction event for the UK.”
The Countdown event will run alongside the CITS (Construction Industries Theft Solutions) Conference – ‘Security Threats’, with guest speakers (TBC). Both committed exhibitors to PLANTWORX and those interested in exhibiting will be invited along to the day which will see the launch of the Security Village, which will be a major feature at the 2013 show. The Security village is being organised in conjunction with the CITS and Datatag, who deliver the CESAR security scheme, on behalf of PLANTWORX organisers, the CEA (Construction Equipment Association).
Mike Revell, Director of utility contractor Clancy Docwra, chairs the CITS group, he said, “The idea of the Security Village at PLANTWORX is to encapsulate all the very best security solutions and services in one area – a sort of ‘one stop shop’ for all your security requirements. Appropriate security within the construction industry is vital and visitors to the village can be confident that ALL exhibitors are approved and accredited by the relevant trade bodies and or associations and promote best practise. By having a dedicated Security zone, it allows us as the organisers ensure that all the products and exhibitors present are appropriate and have the necessary credentials.
The village is in a busy ‘high profile’ area of the PLANTWORX show and we are anticipating between 12 to 20 companies to take part. The stands will all be individually branded and all the exhibitor needs to do is basically turn up with their ‘kit’. There will also be a hospitality area for both exhibitors and visitors – so in essence it will be an exhibition within an exhibition. There will be daily demonstrations of new technology and specialist Police Officers will be on hand to offer advice and guidance throughout the show. If you’re looking for help with security then this is one show that will fulfil all your requirements.”
Also on the Countdown Event agenda, will be a presentation from plantman and prolific construction journalist Nick Johnson on how exhibitors can get the best from a ‘live demo’. The PLANTWORX Awards will also be announced with details of categories and criteria.
Informal workshops are planned to help exhibitors get the most out of being at PLANTWORX, with ideas for promotion and how to make best use of the media. There will also be information on the proposed HS2 railway from London to Birmingham.
Last but by no means least there will be a networking lunch which will give attendees the chance to talk and meet with other delegates.
Those interested in attending can register online at www.plantworx.co.uk or you can email PLANTWORX sales manager Angela Spink at [email protected].
