A group of people observe heavy machinery in action at an outdoor exhibition. The scene includes cranes, lifting equipment, and vehicles, with barriers placed around the demonstration area. PlantWorx introduces flexible demo slots for exhibitors – in ‘Shared Dig Zone’

PlantWorx construction show 2025 is set to be a key event for the construction industry, marking its 6th year. Organised by the Construction Equipment Association (CEA), it will run from September 23rd to 25th, 2025, at the Newark Showground in Nottinghamshire. Newark Showground provides 126 acres of flexible indoor and outdoor space, with permanent walkways and strong communication facilities, perfect for a big event like this.

Next year, PlantWorx 2025 will introduce an innovative feature that allows companies to conduct live demonstrations without booking a large demo plot for the entire event. This flexible, cost-effective approach enables exhibitors to showcase their machinery and technology in action through 45-minute slots in a dedicated zone, with a 15-minute setup time before each session. A dedicated zone manager will assist and organise the demonstrations, ensuring smooth operations.

PlantWorx Operations Director, Simon Frere-Cook remarked, “PlantWorx has always been about bringing machinery to life through live demonstrations, and it’s what sets us apart. As we head into 2025, we are seeing more demand for ‘flexible’ demo plots.

To ensure everyone has a chance to get involved, we’ve introduced the ‘Shared Dig Zone,’ which allows companies to showcase their equipment if they don’t have a dedicated plot on their main stand. This idea is great because it allows smaller companies or those with limited space to participate and demonstrate their machinery in a real-world environment.

It also provides attendees with a broader range of demonstrations to experience. This new feature adds flexibility, making it easier for companies to participate and demonstrate their latest innovations without committing to a large plot for the entire event duration.”

A yellow mini-excavator is in operation on a grassy site, fitted with a Digga attachment for drilling or digging. A construction worker, wearing a high-visibility vest, operates the machine. Behind the mini-excavator, another larger yellow excavator from the Thomas Plant fleet is visible. Both machines are at an outdoor event, surrounded by safety barriers and other construction equipment in the background.

The package offers a 45-minute slot each day in the Shared Dig Zone, access to a PA system for commentary (with the exhibitor providing the script), secure storage throughout the event, and two crowd barrier covers for the Zone, which the exhibitor needs to supply.

PlantWorx 2025, with its expected 400 exhibitors, remains the ideal platform for construction professionals. The event will continue to feature traditional live demonstrations on select exhibitor stands, where visitors can watch equipment in action under realistic site conditions. The new ‘Shared Dig-Zone’ will build on PlantWorx’s reputation for hands-on experiences, offering new, flexible demonstration areas to showcase the latest innovations.

Stands are selling fast for those looking to secure their participation. Past PlantWorx exhibitors can benefit from a 5% early bird discount by booking before August 31, 2024, while new exhibitors can start booking from September 1, 2024. Additionally, members of the Construction Equipment Association (CEA) can enjoy a 12% discount, making this an opportunity too good to miss.
