Ready for take-off – Plantworx 2015 – on the runway to success!

The Plantworx Construction Machinery exhibition, hosted by the CEA (Construction Equipment Association) will return in 2015 to its new location at Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome in Leicestershire. The 3-day event will take place from 2nd – 4th June 2015.
Following the Grand Stand Draw in December of last year where 17 leading construction equipment brands ‘staked their claim’ on the Anchor stands (largest available), which will be strategically placed around the showground, sales have been going great guns. Overall the show is now over 38% sold in the main area (not including the Site Clearance Zone and Pavilion) and over 35% sold on static and 55% on demo space.

Hyundai Heavy Industries Europe was one of the OEM’s to commit to the show and took part in the lottery for the Anchor Stands, sales director Rick Still said, “The 2013 Plantworx show was brilliant for us both in real business and also in terms of reinforcing our growing status in the UK Market! Getting in front of potential customers and showing just what our machines can do really works for us – which is why we did not hesitate in committing to Plantworx 2015. Hyundai’s profile in the UK is growing at a fast pace and Plantworx 2015 will be the perfect platform to accelerate this growth.”
Altrad Belle were winners of the Best Demonstration Award at last year’s Plantworx which was presented to the company for its outstanding machinery demonstrations on the company’s stand. Altrad decided that for the 2015 event – they would like to take an Anchor stand. Managing director Ray Neilson said, “It is a great honour to be shortlisted for one of the 17 Anchor Stands – especially when you consider the vast number of exhibitors. Following the sheer success for us and the show in general at last year’s inaugural event, we look forward to Plantworx 2015!
Colin Wood, Chief Executive, CPA (Construction Plant-hire Association) is also a keen advocate of Plantworx, he said, “The CPA has supported the Plantworx event since its inception in 2010. The first exhibition, at Stoneleigh Park was a real success enabling our members to see new construction equipment in operational mode, together with viewing the most modern equipment available from the major manufacturers .Our stand was very busy with visitors throughout the event. The new exhibition site in Bruntingthorpe, Nr Lutterworth is an excellent venue. With the increased optimism in the plant rental industry, we believe that the exhibition in 2015 will be another resounding success and we look forward to, once again, supporting the event.”
The 2015 show will span 135,000 sq metres and will use Bruntingthorpe’s ‘Indy Circuit’. The venue can more than accommodate the 2015 event based on 2013’s footfall and size, and also allows plenty of room for growth in the future. There are also hard standing areas which will be used for both exhibition stands and car parking.
The ethos of the 2015 Plantworx event will remain the same as the very first show – ‘a show for the industry by the industry’ and where construction machinery can be seen working in real site conditions. The layout of the site has been designed that all exhibitors will be in a single area, with parking on hard standing either side of the show.
Early Bird Discount for repeat exhibitors will end on 31st January 2014 (this coming Friday!) If you would like to book your stand for 2015 please contact [email protected]
