If you are looking for something to do and somewhere to go this coming weekend, here are five trade fairs coming up. In fact, starting from Thursday 15th in Switzerland and Italy, and running through till Sunday 18th. The next three start on Friday or Saturday, until Sunday 18th, and they are in the USA, Norway, and the UK. So have a look at the details and see if you would like to take advantage of one or more of these opportunities:
1. SWITZERLAND, Bern: 15-18 Nov 2018

If you choose to attend this trade fair in Switzerland you are in for a double blessing! In fact there are two shows running concurrently at the same venue – the Building and Energy Expo and the Building and Living Expo. Entry is absolutely free on the first day (Thursday 15th). There will be approximately 300 exhibitors with products and services on display. They will be showing how energy-efficient and sustainable construction is developing, and what the latest construction and living trends are. You can even take your kids along and while you are gleaning valuable input, they can enjoy taking part in a painting competition in the children’s corner. These Fairs will take place at the BERNEXPO in Mingerstrasse, Berne. Opening time is 10am every day, until 6pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and until 5pm on Sunday.
2. ITALY, Turin: 15-18 Nov 2018

If Italy is your choice you will find the 31st edition of the Restructura exhibition in the city of Turin. The venue is the Lingotto Fiere, Torino Oval which is easily accessible whether you come by car or with public transport. Fair times every day from Thursday to Sunday are from 9:30am to 7:30pm. This building expo is an opportunity for you to network with industry professionals, find new suppliers, and participate in demonstrations of products and services. You could also update yourself in your profession by obtaining training credits. Discover energy saving solutions and the use of eco-compatible materials. This fair will be beneficial for professionals as well as private visitors and university or higher education students.
3. USA, Fort Lauderdale: 16-18 Nov 2018

Fancy a trip to Fort Lauderdale? The Greater Fort Lauderdale / Broward County Convention Center is the place to be if you want to attend the Home Design and Remodelling Expo. This is the largest show of its kind in South Florida where you can find the latest trends, products and services. Whether you are looking for minor decoration ideas or major construction services, it’s all catered for at this Expo. There will be thousands of professionals on hand waiting to give you helpful tips and advice. The spectacular waterfront Convention Center is just five minutes drive from Fort Lauderdale / Hollywood International Airport. Covered parking is freely available. There are also many local hotels within easy walking distance of the venue, and there is free wi-fi at the center. Visiting times for the Expo are as follows: Friday 16th- from 3:00pm to 9:30pm; Saturday 17th – from 12:00 noon to 9:30pm; and Sunday 18th – 12:00 noon to 7:30pm.
4. NORWAY, Oslo: 17-18 Nov 2018

Perhaps Norway is your destination. The Building Green expo was started in Copenhagen seven years ago (in 2011) and is a growing event in Scandinavia. This time it will be held in Oslo, at the Gamle Museet in Kvadraturen. The venue is conveniently situated in the city center, and is easily reached with public transport. It is a mere five minute walk from Oslo station. If you choose to come by car, there is a parking garage two minutes walk away from the convention center. This event is free of charge and you will have the opportunity to meet architects, constructors, contractors, city planners and more. Come and hear international keynotes, debates and idea pitching, giving insight into the latest trends in the sustainable building industry. The timetable is from 9:00am to 5:00pm on Saturday 17th, and from 9:00am to 4:00pm on Sunday 18th.
