  • More than 3,300 exhibitors from 40 countries
  • Far more visitors expected compared to last edition
  • Managing Director Stefan Rummel: “A new era lies ahead of us”

The “who’s who” of the industry will be there when bauma CHINA opens its doors again from November 27 to 30, 2018 in Shanghai. More than 3,300 companies will present themselves at Asia’s largest trade fair—300 more than in 2016. Accordingly, 200,000 visitors are expected, which would be a new record. The Chinese construction machinery industry is booming as bauma CHINA approaches. In short: The dragon is breathing fire.
Three weeks before the show opens, bauma CHINA is expecting to set exhibitor and visitor records. More than 300 new companies will present themselves at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). A significant increase in visitors is expected as well. A total of 200,000 may attend.

“bauma CHINA is the event that sets the future direction of China’s construction industry. It is more than an exhibition. It is the leading trade fair for the Asian market,”

says Stefan Rummel, Managing Director of Messe München.

“A new era lies ahead of us”

Rummel sees increased activities in the fields of infrastructure, mining and real estate as the main reason for the positive development in the Chinese construction machinery sector:

“The dragon is breathing fire. This positive trend should continue in 2018 and beyond.”

Industry leaders like Doosan Infracore, Fayat, Komatsu and Volvo are also aware of that and, like many others, are following the call of bauma CHINA.
Construction machinery giant Caterpillar is also returning to the trade fair for the first time since 2012. Rummel:

“A new era is ahead of us. An era with many challenging questions when it comes to intelligent applications, sustainability and recycling, autonomous driving, remote control and much more. At bauma CHINA you will find the answers.”
