The Executive Hire Show Celebrates a Decade of Supporting the Hire Industry!

The 10th Executive Hire Show exhibitor Kick off meeting took place last week at the events established Coventry Ricoh Arena home in the heart of the Midlands. ‘Kicking off’ proceedings was show director Robert Aplin who was pleased to announce the Main Hall and the Atrium areas of the small plant and tool hire exhibition sold out in June of this year– with a record 150 confirmed exhibitors! Mr Aplin also confirmed that because of the high demand for stands – the ‘Top Tier’ of the show, which was first introduced at the 2012 event, is returning for the February 2016 event and is open for bookings.
The addition of stands in the Atrium over the last two years has enhanced the show and there has been lots of positive visitor feedback – many saying that having stands as you walk in the Ricoh gives the show an extra ‘buzz’! The ‘Top Tier’ is for light equipment and the EHS team is confident that this extension of the show will merge seamlessly with the Atrium and Main Hall stands. There is also a speculative plan to host a ‘Demo Zone’ within the Top Tier – watch this space!
The EHS 2016 show (10th & 11th February 2016) may only be a two day event but its reach and its influence continue throughout the hire industry throughout the year. The very first event was held in January 2007 and many exhibitors have achieved a 10/10 having exhibited at every show! Amongst the EHS veterans are Avant, Belle, Brendon Power Washers, CPA (Construction Plant-hire Association), Dustcontrol, Euro Towers, Fairport Construction, Hilti, JCB, Morris Site Machinery, Pramac, Syrinx, Thwaites and many more!
The 2016 exhibitor list is looking very impressive – with many of the key players, in addition to the above mentioned exhibitors, in the hire sector taking stands. These include Altrad Belle, Atlas Copco, Bomag, Cummins, Doosan, Firefly Clean Energy, GenQuip Groundhog, Greenmech, Hanix, Husqvarna, Ifor Williams, King Highway Products, Knott-Avonride, Kubota, Leica, Mace Industries, Makita, Manitou, Nilfisk ALTO, Obart Pumps, Red Plant, Ridge Tools, Shindaiwa, Sumner, Takeuchi, The Access Platform Company, Thwaites, Topcon, Wilkinson Star, YOKOTA Youngman and Zenith.
The 2015 event attracted 2,102 relevant hire industry visitors – an all-time record! The EHS team has already begun its 2016 National Visitor Campaign with Steve McKenzie, Steve Ritchie, and EHS business development manager, Gemma Gratton travelling the country visiting Hire Depots to mobilise and excite hirers to attend the 10th annual event. The team visited an incredible 824 depots for the 2015 event and covered 28,000 miles – the 2016 campaign trail, supported by the Hire Supply Company and Altrad Belle, is well underway and their progress can be followed on the EHS website.
Another initiative from the EHS team are the ‘Executive Hire Regional Road Shows’ which have been well received, now in their 2nd year, local hire companies are invited to come along and see just what the EHS has to offer and can take advantage of special deals from participating suppliers, available only at these events. Sponsored by MHM Plant and supported by Altrad Belle, JCB, HGI Generators, Avant, Obart, SDMO, Slanetrac, HSC, Shindaiwa, Husqvarna, Trelawny and Fairport, the next event is the London & South East Race Day at Kempton Park on Wednesday 14th October from 2.30pm onwards. The following event is on Wednesday 18th November at the Heart of England Conference Centre, Meriden from 4.30pm to 7.30pm and then Thursday 26th November at the Thistle Hotel Haydock from 4.30pm to 7.30pm. The final road show is on Wednesday 2nd December at the Holiday Inn Bristol from 4.30pm to 7.30pm.
