The 2nd Plantworx construction equipment exhibition, hosted by the CEA (Construction Equipment Association) takes place from 2nd to 4th June 2015 at its new home at Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome, Leicestershire, UK
The ethos of the 2015 Plantworx event will remain the same as the very first show – ‘a show for the industry by the industry’ and where construction machinery can be seen working in real site conditions. The event will once again have a strong focus on construction equipment, truck and trailer manufacturers, tools and equipment accessories – with machinery demonstration at its core.
The UK’s largest ‘working’ construction event is already over 76% sold and more than 200 companies have signed on the dotted line to exhibit at the show. The 2015 event is already larger than the 2013 show in terms of space sold!
Transport was one area of the show that visitors from the 2013 event wanted to see expand and the 2015 event will see more of these companies taking part – on both static and demonstrating. To date AJC Trailers, Bateson Trailers, Brian James Trailers, Goldhofer, Ifor Williams Trailers, Isuzu Trucks UK, King Trailers, Macs Truck Sales, Nooteboom Trailers, Nugent Trailers and Shawtrack Services have booked their stand space – and a number of other transport manufacturers have ‘pencilled in’ their stands – so watch this space.
Plantworx has also teamed up with the HTA (Heavy Transport Association), who is supporting the event and promoting the show to its members. The HTA is the only specialist Trade Association for the heavy/abnormal load industry. Members include abnormal load hauliers, truck/trailer manufacturers, route surveyors, permit agents, consultants, abnormal load escorters, ferry owners, infrastructure owners/managers, etc. HTA members are consequently a highly specialist group of operators with very different needs over other sectors of the transportation industry. Quote please from the HTA.
“As specialists in the movements of abnormal loads, HTA members are pleased to have the opportunity of visiting the show.” Said John Rodell, Chairman, HTA Plants are being constructed on ever increasing scales and that means larger, heavier and even wider components are being manufactured. HTA Members will need to transport larger and heavier structures whilst maintaining strict safety standards. This means transport requirements will need updating constantly. HTA members will benefit greatly from the exhibition where construction machinery in real site conditions is to be exhibited.”
Dee Searle, director, Les Searle Transport, based in Horsham Surrey visited the show last year she said, “We have many years of experience transporting abnormal loads and standard plant items, and we have a range of vehicles and trailers available for hire and provide experienced drivers. By visiting trade shows such as Plantworx we get the opportunity to see the latest equipment on the market, not just transport, but construction equipment too, for our plant hire arm of the business.
We visited the show last year on mass – we thoroughly enjoyed the show. As a company we are delighted that there will be more transport related companies exhibiting next year and we look forward to visiting the event again at its new Bruntingthorpe location.”
Paul Stockport, general manager, Brian James Trailers said, “Despite the exhibition’s infancy, the focus on organisation before the show in 2013 was impressive. Following on from the recognised success of the 2013 event, the 2015 exhibition promises to be much larger, and a change of venue should help to cement the exhibition’s future success.”
Paul concluded, “Plantworx has the both the product focus and the organisational capability of becoming the industry’s ‘must go to event’. Due to the increasing popularity of this exhibition, and the speed with which Plantworx is filling the stands, Brian James Trailers have signed up well in advance!”
Jamie Baddeley, sales manager Shawtrack Services is also a fan of the show and an exhibitor, he said, “Plantworx is a well organised event and we are looking forward to exhibiting again. We are delighted that the transport companies exhibiting have significantly increased this year – it will encourage more visitors to the show who have an interest in this sector. The show was well attended last year from operators to owners and buyers alike from across the construction plant industry. This key market audience was the deciding factor for Shawtrack’s attendance as an exhibitor once again.”
