The preparations for USETEC 2014 are in full swing. As summer draws to a close, the organisers are now reporting strong bookings for exhibition areas in both the hall and the outdoor area. Suppliers from the following sectors have already registered: metalworking machinery, robotics and automation, power plant equipment (generators, compressors), lifting appliances and conveyors, construction machinery, agricultural machines, woodworking machinery, plastic and rubber processing machinery, packaging machinery, food processing machines, textile machines, tools and moulds as well as services.
As well as specialised dealers, manufacturers have also registered to exhibit at USETEC. These suppliers usually specialise in one or two sectors from the wide range of areas represented at USETEC. In addition, auction houses and leasing companies offering used technology for every branch of industry have registered to participate at the next trade fair. One exhibitor, a USETEC regular for several years, which supplies "stocklots" from all sectors of industry will participate once again in 2014. Exhibitors from Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the Czech Republic have already registered.
Even at this early stage, USETEC can justifiably claim to be the leading trade fair in the used market and therefore a unique event worldwide. No other trade fair focusing exclusively on second-hand technology offers even remotely the range of products available at USETEC. USETEC is supported by all the leading associations in the sector, including the Trade Association for Machine Tools + Tooling (FDM) in Bonn, which has played a key role in shaping and developing the concept as USETEC's technical sponsor. The event is also supported by the European Association of Machine Tool Merchants (EAMTM) in Brussels, the Italian Association of Used Machine Tools (AIMUU), the Federation of the German Export Trade (BDEx) in Berlin, the Dutch Used Machinery Association (DUMA), German Trade and Invest (gtai) as well as the agricultural technology association LandBauTechnik Bundesverband in Essen. The organisers also maintain active contacts with a large number of GIZ projects in foreign countries, especially in interesting developing and industrialising countries.
"For 2014, we have secured a perfect date for USETEC at the beginning of May," explains Florian Hess, Managing Director of Hess GmbH, Weingarten/Baden. "This is a particular advantage for the exhibitors in the outdoor area, who will again be heavily represented after a weaker presence in 2013 due to the influence of bauma in Munich. We are dedicated to creating the best conditions for the No. 1 meeting place in the global used machinery market in close consultation with associations and exhibitors."
Exhibitors who decide early to participate at USETEC 2014 underline their role as important players in the worldwide market for second-hand technology. The early bird bonus for exhibitors, which is still available until 30 September 2013, provides an additional incentive to secure a stand placement for USETEC 2014 as soon as possible. Continuing strong demand is expected due to the high level of customer satisfaction reflected in the survey conducted at USETEC 2013.
USETEC features used machinery and equipment for every sector and branch of industry. USETEC 2014 will take place from Monday, 5 May to Wednesday, 7 May 2014 in the North Halls of Koelnmesse.
