Anticipation grows for opening event of The Big 5 Construct North Africa showcasing the latest in construction products, education and investments for the region
Sunday, April 23, 2017 — All eyes are on Casablanca as it sets to welcome and launch the first The Big 5 Construct North Africa 2017. From 25 to 27 April at the Parc Des Expostions de l’Office des Changes, the local Moroccan construction industry will be able to engage and discover the latest in construction solutions as well as forge new business opportunities and new partnerships.
This prestigious construction event plans to host around 5,000 attendees and more than 177 exhibitors from 20+ countries including Morocco, Turkey, Greece, Germany and Italy. The Big 5 Construct North Africa will act as a bridge to connect local and international exhibitors to thousands of buyers so that they may mutually benefit from the growing market.
Products on Display
Offering a 360-degree view of construction reflective of the Moroccan market, The Big 5 Construct North Africa will be featuring numerous product sectors for the local construction industry. Six unique areas that will be offered are MEP Services, Construction Tools & Building Materials, Building Interiors & Finishes, Construction Technology, Building Envelope & Special Construction and Construction Machineries, Equipment & Vehicles.
Local and international exhibitors will display their latest products and technology for construction players in the search for the best solutions to streamline their projects and prospective developments.
Partners of The Big 5 Construct North Africa and representatives of the Turkish pavilion of businesses taking part in the event, Elan-Expo, will be in attendance introducing Moroccan industry players to the latest in Turkish construction solutions. “Turkish companies participating in The Big 5 North Africa 2017 will showcase a variety of products including construction machinery, building materials, decorative wall & ceiling panels, and tiles,” said Sur Ay, Elan-Expos’ Owner.
“The Moroccan market is the gateway to enter North Africa, that’s why companies have great potential to do business in Morocco,” added Sur.

The Big 5 Construct North Africa will explore the latest best practices in the construction industry to help employees and management be equipped to work in an ever-evolving industry. Offering over 10 CPD (Continued Professional Development) certified and free to attend workshops, the educational agenda will feature topics including Health & Safety and Sustainability, shining a spotlight on the challenges faced by construction professionals in Morocco.
This year’s workshops will be delivered by some of the most prominent industry leaders, including Najib Bendahou, Managing Director at HSE Partners, who will be speaking on Safety in Construction on day two. Zakaria Sadik, Président at Morocco Green Building Council – MGBC and Amedee Santalo, Adviser to H.E. Sheikh Tarek M. Binladen, Project Manager, MED LLC, are both scheduled to speak on day three of the event covering Sustainability of Buildings, Communities & Cities and Smart Cities Development, respectively.
