7 Spectacular Trade Fairs from Brazil to Cambodia and Back

This week we have seven spectacular construction trade fairs for you to be aware of. They are taking place in seven different countries: Brazil, UK, China, France, USA, Canada and Cambodia. So fasten your seatbelts and get ready for some good shows all over the world!
1. BRAZIL, São Paulo: 26-29 Nov

Starting off in Brazil, the M&T Expo will be happening in São Paulo which is the largest city in South America. As such, travel and accommodation is easy and convenient with all the connections you need. This Expo is the biggest one of its kind in Latin America. It’s the 10th edition, making the event a well established arena for technological development in the construction and mining equipment sector. It’s a great opportunity to meet and network with experts and exhibitors form every continent. 2. UK, London: 27-28 Nov

Next we go to London for the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) exhibition at the Olympia London in Kensington. The central location makes for ample accommodation and ease of transport. If you’re looking for authoritative content, practical expertise, technical knowledge and design inspiration, then this is the expo for you. There will be over 60 exhibitors, more than 180 speakers and about 2000 attendees. Seminars are free to attend, and the three themes covered will be Design, Deliver and Perform within the context of the building environment. 3. CHINA, Shanghai: 27-30 Nov

Off to China now for Asia’s largest and most significant construction event. Bauma China takes place every second year and it is the International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Mining Machines, Building Material Machines and Construction Vehicles. If the last event is anything to go by, statistics are truly impressive with 2,958 exhibitors from 41 countries and over 170,000 visitors from 149 countries in 2016. So 2018 is indeed a show to look forward to. Here you will encounter all the major international and Chinese brands showcasing their newest and best products and innovations. The venue is the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) in Pudong, Shanghai, which is easily reached by plane, train, bus, car or metro.
4. FRANCE, Strasbourg: 28-29 Nov

From China to the eastern border of France for the Build and Connect show in Strasbourg. The focus of this expo is the sustainable building sector, and pioneering technologies and practices in this area. It is the third year of Build and Connect, which includes various European networks bringing an international perspective. Features include 14 round tables, 11 conferences and 130 speakers representing the building sector in France, Germany, Switzerland and Benelux. There are four main challenges in the programme as follows: 1) Buildings and Urban Densification 2) The New Economic Model for Renovation 3) Digital Revolution and 4) New Materials and the Building’s Life Cycle. The venue is the CCI Campus which is on the tram route and close to the motorway.
5. USA, Portland: 28-30 Nov

If you can’t make it to France, perhaps you’d prefer this one in the USA. JLC Live Northwest in Portland is for all builders, contractors, and remodelers. This is the 7th year, and it promises to be a good one with over 70 building product manufacturers exhibiting. There will also be 8 building clinics or demonstrations and 40 conference sessions. So it’s the perfect opportunity to come and learn from the nationally recognized experts. The live education areas will help you refine your techniques as you get a close-up view of the latest products and how to use them. Let’s go up north now to Toronto Canada for the Buildings Show. With 30 years of experience, this show is a spectacular event which brings together those involved in the architecture, design, construction and real estate sectors. It is North America’s largest event of its kind, providing educational programmes and professional networking opportunities, as well as showcasing the latest products and services. The Metro Toronto Convention Centre will be abuzz from 10:00am to 5:00pm on the first 2 days and from 9:00am to 1:00pm on the third day. 7. CAMBODIA, Phnom Penh: 29 Nov – 1 Dec

Our last stopover for this week is in Southeast Asia in the country of Cambodia. The capital city of Phnom Penh is where Cambodia Construction Industry Expo will be happening in the Koh Pich Exhibition Center. It is organized by the CCA (Cambodia Constructors Association) and supported by the Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia. It is a platform where both local and international professionals in the construction industry can explore business partnerships and build networks. Annual updates of construction regulations will also be announced, and goals set for the coming year.
