With the expansion of the new trade fair premises and the new street tram to Allmend, the BAUMAG (trade fair for construction machines, construction equipment and tools) is clearly laid out and more attractive than ever.
It is already evident that the 17th edition will be fully occupied and impress the visitors again with a comprehensive offer. About 200 exhibitors, amongst whom are well-known market leaders as well as newcomers to the industry, will present their innovations as well as performances in the 1 500 m2 extended hall areas.

According to Andreas Hauenstein, trade fair manager of BAUMAG, the new trade fair premises brings the entire Lucerne tradefair business a step further: “The visitor reaches the trade fair directly with a comfortable tram journey from the Lucerne railway station where a top infrastructure awaits them. Lucerne offers now everything, that one would expect from a modern trade fair and congress centre, and all this in the heart of Swizerland”. Probably because of that, but especially because of the identification of the exhibitors with the Lucerne location, the BAUMAG is already booked out.
Special Controlled Concrete Demolition Show
A highlight is the large special show ” Controlled Concrete Demolition” where various exhibitors present their machines and equipment for the use in a controlled concrete demolition as well as the relevant services. The association SVBS (Verband Schweizer Betonbohr- und Betonschneidunternehmen/ Association of Swiss concrete boring and cutting enterprises) will be involved in this interesting show.
Crowd Pullers
One of the attractions of the fair is the masonary demonstration of the Masonary Training Centre Sursee. Potential candidates for the World Skills 2017 will gain initial experience for the trade competition during the Baumag, together with the Swiss Champion. At the mini excavator competition, visitors can try their hands on various tasks and have the chance to win great prizes. The trade fair partner baublatt will be presenting this skill test. This will mean a lot of fun and challenges for all the visitors.
For the first time public transport travellers profit from the reduced railway ticket and additional 20 % rebate on the entrance ticket.
