Future-forward event set for Expo Edifica 2017 in Santiago, Chile
MILWAUKEE (May 17, 2017) – The U.S.-based Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) will highlight the advanced technologies that the CONEXPO brand represents with a new Technology Pavilion, a CONEXPO Latin America event, exclusively at Expo Edifica October 4-7, 2017 in Santiago, Chile.
The Technology Pavilion will feature static and interactive displays and exhibits from leading industry companies; it aims to create a new dimension for visitors to not only hear about but also touch and feel the technology and solutions of tomorrow.
“We are very pleased to work with our partner, Expo Edifica owner Chilean Chamber of Construction, to offer this preview of today’s innovations and tomorrow’s visions and trends over the next 10 years,” said Petra Kaiser, AEM senior director of international exhibitions.
“AEM is committed to the region and its long-term opportunities, even in a non-show year for CONEXPO Latin America. That’s why we developed this Technology Pavilion, which incorporates elements of the successful Tech Experience at the gigantic CONEXPO-CON/AGG show in Las Vegas in March of specific relevance to Latin America,” said Kaiser.
The 2017 Technology Pavilion, a CONEXPO Latin America event, will include displays that showcase the worksite of the future, the future skills needed to meet project needs, and the first 3D printed excavator project.
CONEXPO Latin America, which takes place every three years, will return to the region as a trade show in 2019, co-located with Expo Edifica.
“In my 40 years of experience in the industry, I have had the great opportunity to visit the large international trade shows . . . .What always fascinates me most is the chance to see innovations, the latest technology, exchange ideas, and truly be at the pulse of the industry,” said Andrija Korolija of GyM, the construction division of the Graña y Montero group.
“With CONEXPO Latin America we have the great opportunity to bring this window into the latest in construction technology and a true meeting place for our industry to our region, with a dedicated focus on the needs of Latin America,” said Korolija.
