The event, which is held biannually, will see the latest and most innovative products in the construction equipment industry placed on display. Attendees will be able to see, learn about, and compare the latest developments from a wide range of manufacturers, and consider how this could contribute to the future of construction in Australia and the world at large.
ACE 2015 is going to place a particularly strong emphasis on issues relating to recruitment and training within this industry, including the role of apprenticeships. Organisers have made an especial effort to seek out experts in this field and invite them along as either attendees or exhibitors.
The ACE Expo was first held in 2009, and has since become one of the most prominent trade shows in Australia’s construction industry calendar. It is held twice a year, and is open for trade visitors from all sections of the construction industry. Exhibitors at the expo tend to be similarly wide-ranging. The latest developments, innovations and ideas in construction equipment are on display, whether they be relevant to:
- Mining
- Quarrying
- Government and Public Construction
- Earth Moving
- Waste Disposal, Recycling and Reclamation
- Haulage
- Engineering
- Earth Moving
Companies and experts in recruitment, training and professional services are also represented at the expo.
The Australian Construction Equipment Expo is organised by Exhibitions and Trade Fairs Pty Ltd (ETF). ETF are also behind a number of other prominent exhibitions and trade shows in Australia. Their portfolio includes other major construction shows, such as the Construction and Mining Expo which was held in Perth in April, along with expos for other industries. The complete range of sectors they deal with includes such diverse elements as fishing and boating, technology and energy.
ETF organise the ACE Expo in association with the Construction & Mining Equipment Industry Group (CMEIG). Formed in 2003, CMEIG is one of Australia’s most prominent industry bodies within the construction sector. It provides representation for manufacturers of construction and mining equipment as well as for other companies whose work has significant implications for this particular segment of the construction industry. Companies who are directly represented by CMEIG collectively employ over 10,000 people. The group’s membership includes most of the major manufacturers of construction and mining equipment currently operating around the world.
ACE Expo 2015 will be held in Brisbane, Queensland between the 14th and the 1th of May 2015. The event will then be hosted by Melbourne, Victoria from the 12th to the 14th of November 2015. Each day, the expo will be open 8.30am-5.00pm.
