bauma China 2010 – Reaching New Heights

  • Record levels of participation: over 1,800 exhibitors
  • More than 30 cranes on show
  • Tremendous logistical effort by international exhibitors

This year again bauma China 2010, the fifth International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Construction Vehicles and Equipment in China, is setting new standards. So far 1.858 exhibitors from 37 countries have registered to take part. Among the exhibits on show on the open-air site at the exhibition will be seventeen crawler cranes. One of the exhibits in the group of sixteen tower slewing cranes will be a crane with an 87-metre main boom.
Collin Davis, Exhibition Group Director: “The international exhibitors at bauma China – for example those from Europe and America – are putting in a significant logistical and financial effort to take part in bauma China.”
European companies, for example ZF Passau GmbH, began shipping exhibits to Shanghai around two months before the start of the trade fair.
Gernot Hein, Head of Marketing and Communications of ZF Passau, justifies this great effort: “Despite all the complicated preparations, the logistical challenge and the high transport costs, taking part in the fair is very much worthwhile for ZF Passau. bauma China is the leading trade fair for the entire Asian region. As such it is the optimum platform for presenting the latest technologies and products for global export, and also those exhibits specially tailored to the Chinese market.”
bauma China takes place from 23 to 26 November 2010, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC).
