Leading building materials supplier CEMEX UK has signed up as the latest exhibitor at Civils Expo, the UK’s only dedicated event for the civil engineering and construction sector. Civils Expo will be part of the Build Show at UK Construction Week, taking place at the Birmingham NEC later this year.
Taking centre stage at Civils Expo with a large custom-built stand, materials supplier and solutions provider CEMEX will be showcasing its latest product innovations alongside its industry staples. Regarded by many in the construction and associated built environment industries as one of the market leader in cement, concrete and aggregates, CEMEX is certain to be a major attraction for visitors at the show.
What’s more, CEMEX’s Sustainability Director, Andrew Spencer, will be speaking at the Infrastructure Hub – a newly announced zone located at the heart of Civils Expo. Hosting a variety of useful and informative content, the Infrastructure Hub will significantly boost the civil engineering offering at UK Construction Week and provide a dedicated space to network, learn and do business.
James Fairclough, UK Submissions Manager at CEMEX, commented:
“Civils Expo offers a unique opportunity for us to showcase our latest products and solutions to a wide variety of construction professionals. The fact that UK Construction Week is backed by government is a big plus for CEMEX as we look to help solve the infrastructure and housing problems currently facing the UK through our services, helping to build a greater Britain.”
Richard Morey, Group Events Director at Media 10, the company producing UK Construction Week, commented:
“We are delighted to welcome CEMEX on board and have been encouraged by the amount of support for a dedicated civil engineering space at UK Construction Week. Civils Expo and the Infrastructure Hub will cater directly to this need and offer the industry a place to develop business contacts, showcase new products and share best practice.”
Bringing together nine shows under one roof, UK Construction Week will be the biggest construction trade event the UK has seen in years. Taking place at the Birmingham NEC from 6 – 11 October (with the trade only days from 6 – 8 October) the event will unite 1,000 exhibitors with an expected audience of 55,000 visitors.
Visitors will be able to attend the Build Show incorporating Civils Expo, Timber Expo, the Surface and Materials Show, Energy 2015, Kitchens & Bathroom Live, Plant & Machinery Live, HVAC 2015, Smart Buildings 2015 and Grand Designs Live.
