Euro Auctions – Inaugurate New Auction Site in Brisbane, Australia
Dromore, Northern Ireland (11. November 2011) – Euro Auctions , the UK’s largest auctioneers of construction plant and industrial equipment, announces its continued global expansion with the inauguration of a new auction site in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, just one year after the opening of its auction site in Valencia, Spain.
The decision to expand Euro Auctions by establishing a base in Australia is strategic in light of the buoyancy of the Pacific Rim economies, and has been further driven by increased demand for equipment, plant and machinery from Australia and surrounding regions. Furthermore, loyal Euro Auctions customers in the UK and Europe have been demanding better links between Europe and the Australasian market, with added interest from loyal customers in Australia strengthening the need for an auction sales base in the southern hemisphere.
The new Euro Auctions site is located in the region of Pinkenba, Queensland, just 30 minutes from the Port of Brisbane, and a convenient 20 minutes from Brisbane Airport. The overall site covers approximately 10 acres and should initially host four auctions a year. The infrastructure of the new Euro Auctions site will include a main standing area where machinery will be displayed ‘pre sale’; the main auction theatre; a customer reception facility; administration facilities; on-site catering; as well as transportation ‘load’ and ‘un-load’ areas.
The continued strength of the mining sector in Australia has led to strong demand for construction equipment, plant and machinery. Part of this overwhelming interest is due to the demand Australia is experiencing from the Far East for raw materials, with much interest coming from China.
“Euro Auctions has a strong international seller and buyer base, with an existing contingency of customers in the Far East who consign to other Euro Auctions sales and will consign to the new auction facility in Brisbane,” reports Jonnie Keys, General Manager at Euro Auctions. “In addition, Euro Auctions has a loyal Ex-Pat following now working in the Australian construction and mining sectors who are familiar with the Euro Auctions brand, and will create local awareness in the region.”
Euro Auctions, Brisbane, is now recruiting a new local work force that will include a Country Manager, Field Sales Representatives, Yard Manager, yard staff and administration personnel.
