Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is a non-for-profit, industry-led and industry-managed organization, playing a proactive role in India’s developmental process and as a primary initiative it is organizing Excon 2013 – the 7th edition of South Asia's Largest Event for Construction Equipment sector between 20th – 24th November, 2013 at Bengaluru. Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers' Association (ICEMA) is the sector partner for the event and is supported by Builders Association of India (BAI) and the Government of Karnataka is participating as Partner State at the event. The Exhibition is spread in vast area of 2,20,000 Square Meter and has more than 100 products launches. Country specific pavilions are there for countries like Germany, Japan, Italy, Sweden, Turkey, South Korea, and China which include more than 300 exhibitors from these countries and local exhibitors of around 900. It has high reach among the professional s in the industry because of the brand it has become. More than 35000 Business visitors make the Excon 2013 a very good platform to meet and network with high profile players in the construction equipment industry.
The Indian Economy is a booming economy and currently stands at being the third largest Asian Economy which is estimated to become the World’s Third Largest Economy by 2050. This growth is depending on lot of factors the major being the infrastructure as it is an integral part and all the growth is related to it. Construction Industry is a very important industry in the Indian Economy. To increase the pace of the growth of these sectors we need to have new and modern technologies in the construction equipment Industry to support the increase in demand and need for faster construction. At the same time we need to think sustainability also as only growth is not going to help our economy and the people we need sustainable growth which will not harm the environment and still be contributing to the growth.
Excon 2013 has a theme of “Propelling Sustainable Infrastructure Growth” and has invited companies from a varied range of products like Earth Moving Equipment, Vibratory Soil compactors for earthwork, Paving Equipment for Rigid and Flexible pavements, Mobile and stationary Crushing Equipment, Hydraulic and pneumatic Drilling equipment, Safety devices, Quality control equipments, systems, standards, Railway track Laying Machines, Automatic Control Systems etc. All big players in the market for all the machines and equipment are participating in the exhibition with their new, innovative and modern products which aim towards the improvement of construction quality and increase in pace of construction with keeping sustainability in mind. The Exhibition is an open to sky arrangement so all the size of equipments and machines can be accommodated and the exhibition is a very visitor friendly arrangement as the quality of people attending the exhibition is of high class and stature. This Exhibition is a very good platform for companies to create prospective buyers and also convert prospective buyer into buyers and also a great knowledge source for students and professionals.
