Exhibitor registration starts for the next BAUMA CONEXPO SHOW – bC India

  • Applications phase opens for exhibitors at bC India 2013
  • The industry welcomes the event venue and the expansion in space

Around fifteen months before bC India 2013 opens its doors, the applications phase has started for companies and other participants wishing to exhibit at the second edition of bC India, a BAUMA CONEXPO SHOW, which takes place from 5 to 8 February 2013 at the MMRDA grounds in the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai. The application documents are now available for download at www.bcindia.com. The closing date for priority applications is 15 March 2012.
Scheduled to cover 130,000 square metres of exhibition space, this 2nd bC India is taking up almost 50 percent more space than at the premiere in 2011: “It is a very good news that bC India is able to grow from 88,000 to 130,000 square metres in 2013. As bC India 2011 was a big success for us and probably for other exhibitors as well, we are sure that the larger space will be utilised for bC India 2013, and are greatly looking forward to the show,” commented Jehangir Ardeshir, President & Managing Director of Terex India.
The sector as a whole, too, is pleased at this expansion in exhibition space, and also that the choice of venue once again fell on the Bandra Kurla Complex and Mumbai:
“bC India 2011 was very professionally organised. We had good business generation and an opportunity to meet many old and new customers. We appreciate the bC India organisers again selecting Mumbai as the venue for bC India 2013, which will give us opportunity to meet our old and new customers in this most important market place,” said Anand Sundaresan, Managing Director of Schwing Stetter India.
And Anindya Ganguly, General Manager Operations at Voltas Limited, Mining and Construction Equipment Division, added: “We are happy that bC India was able to reserve the MMRDA grounds at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai for 2013 again. bC India 2011 was organised very professionally and the venue proved to be ideal for such an international construction event.”
bC India is thus keeping faith with both the exhibition centre and the city venue of Mumbai. According to many companies, this was a good decision: “Mumbai is the economic hub of India with a huge business potential,” said Michael Schmid-Lindenmayer, Managing Director of Putzmeister Concrete Machines. “Furthermore, after a successful participation at bC India 2011, we support the organisers’ decision to hold bC India 2013 in Mumbai again.”
Kevin R. Thieneman, President of Caterpillar Asia Pte. Ltd., USA, voiced support for the show: “The number and quality of buyers at bC India and the show’s professional organisation have made this exhibition an addition to our overall marketing strategy in India.” And John Olsen, P.E., Vice President International Sales of Astec Aggregate and Mining, added: “The bC India show was a very good experience for Telsmith, Astec and our new partners in India, TIL Ltd. The show traffic was very good each day, with the vast majority of visitors to our booth being equipment owners and customers that wanted to talk about real projects and requirements for new equipment.”
