The only event directed to the roofing cover segment in Latin America finished its debut edition with broad perspectives for exhibiters. The TeCobi Summit conference program guaranteed the events success and the presence of important names in the market
The TeCobI Expo held this week at Expor Center Norte, in São Paulo, was able to gather a broad range of innovative solutions and technologies for the roofing, cover and waterproofing sector in a single space, directed to engineers, architects and landscapists, as well as resellers and distributors and end users. The event, which is the only one in Latin America geared to this sector, brought to light themes of great importance to this civil construction segment, such as using increasingly more sustainable, economic and intelligent solutions for building tops.
Over the three days of the event, it gathered more than 3200 professionals including visitors and congress members who saw the novelties presented by the 100 exhibiting brands and lectures presented during TeCobI Summit, a conference program held parallel to the fair. “The exhibiters underscored the presence of a specialized public, highly focused in the new technologies available in the market, who visited the fair in search of new information and products,” analyzes Priscila Fasterra, Sales Manager at TeCobI Expo.
“This was the first step for an event that, we are certain, will firmly establish itself in the market, not only because it is an exclusive event for roofing cover and waterproofing segments, but also because of the great quality of exhibiting companies and public,” adds engineer Guilherme Ramos, director of Clarion-Quartier, organizer of TeCobI Expo.
“We received many visits and what was interesting about this meeting was the public’s focus, a differential in relation to other events geared towards civil construction, which are very comprehensive. At TeCobI Expo, we had contact with the right public, which ensures us of other participations,” underscores Rodrigo Motta, engineer at the Icobit technical department.
Matheus Scariot, engineer at Bellevue, also stressed the quality of professional contacts he made at the event. “This event brought us a select public, which is ideal for any company when closing deals. Whoever did not participate in this edition will certainly participate in the next and in 2014 we are even considering a bigger space at the fair,” he underscored.
One of the highlights of this first edition of the event was the partnership with the Brazilian Institute of Waterproofing (IBI), which anchored the participation of large sector companies like Alwitra, Mactra, Maxply, Viapol, Vedacit and Sika. The waterproofing sector was also represented by other companies like Duroshield, Hemisfério, Hydronorth, ILD Brasil, Icobit, Vedasempre and ILD Brasil.
Besides solutions in waterproofing, several other products were presented at the event, such as roofing tiles and metal structures (ABAL, Kofar, Minami, Açoport, Asa Alumínio, Ananda Metais, Roofway, Marko, Han-G-Alp); ceramic roofing tiles (Perkus, Cejatel, TopTelha, Terreal); fiber cement (Infibra); transparent (Atco, Amecon, Esaf-Ibrap, Day Brasil); green roofing covers and other sustainable solutions (Ecotelhado, SkyGarden Envec, FC Solar), thermal acoustic roofing covers (Dânica, Panisol, Isoeste), prismatic domes (Bellevue, Comfortlux, Naturalux, Engepoli), machines and tools (Walle Máquinas, Icon, Jomarca); fixation and sealing products (Manzato, Mored, Hard); among others.
CONFERENCES – TeCobI Summit’s success was unanimous! Besides a Cycle of Lectures promoted by IBI, the program also had the TeCobI ECO forum that addressed green roofing covers and other sustainable alternatives; several technical workshops (tiles, metal covers, sealing technologies and an afternoon geared towards construction materials distributors and resellers. The Summit also had two sponsored programs: Dow Seminar (Waterproofing) and Aperam Lectures Cycle (Stainless Steel Roofing Tiles and Covers).
“The congress was very dynamic. People interact with the themes presented and that means the objective was achieved. The event is focused and this is a positive point for TeCobI Summit,” affirmed Romeu Martinelli, of Sika, a speaker in the program coordinated by IBI.
The architect Fernando Birello came from Cuiabá exclusively to participate in lectures with the sustainable theme. “The congress was better than I imagined. I came to update information and what is most interesting is the speakers handle sustainability in a real manner, where it can already be put into practice,” concludes the congress member.
The lecture by Cláudio Conz, president of Anamaco – National Association of Construction Material Merchants, who closed the program of lectures, was another highlight. At the time, he pointed out that the civil construction market is favorable and the projection is for 16.4 million homes to be built over the next ten years, which represents a growth of 28%.
