Ehingen / Donau (Germany) 14 February 2018 – Lian Zheng has invested in an LTM 1070-4.2 fire service crane from Liebherr and has imported the first ever of these special cranes to Taiwan. The crane and heavy haulage contractor has nine mobile cranes in its all-Liebherr fleet. Company proprietor Kuo-Pao Wu and his wife Shu-Chin Wu Ho took the opportunity to travel to Ehingen to take delivery of the crane in person.
Lian Zheng Enterprise Co., Ltd. carries out regular hoisting work at an enclosed industrial estate containing relatively high production buildings. The site has its own fire service. Lian Zheng purchased the LTM 1070-4.2 with additional equipment for fire service cranes to provide support for this fire service. The equipment consists of a blue light, siren and fire-fighting monitor: This is a short lattice jib on the boom head to which a remote-controlled water monitor can be fitted to spray up to 4000 litres of water per minute onto a fire from a nozzle height of up to 53 metres. The main work for the mobile crane, however, will be standard hoisting work.
Kuo-Pao Wu founded the company in 1987 in Kaohsiung City in Taiwan. Over the past ten years, Lian Zheng has undergone steady growth and now has a workforce of 70 people. The company’s activities include a complete range of services from CAD planning and transport to hoisting work of all kinds. The semiconductor industry, chemical refineries and power plants are among its main customers. The largest crane in the fleet is an LTM 1500-8.1. Wu explains why he invests in Liebherr cranes: “The quality of Liebherr cranes is outstanding and the crane controllers are very precise and comfortable to work with. Furthermore, the well set up after sales service organization is very important to us.”
