Follow the Convoy to Atlantic Canada’s LARGEST Truck Show

Moncton, New Brunswick – The Atlantic Truck Show (ATS) will be rolling into the Hub City this Friday and Saturday. The Moncton Coliseum will play host to Atlantic Canada’s largest and most inclusive trucking show.

“Exhibit space is completely sold out! Over 275 indoor and outdoor exhibits compromised of some new exhibitors but plenty of regular exhibitors with their new lines!” explained Show Manager Mark Cusack.
In 2011, nearly 12,000 visitors streamed through the gates during the two-day event and they did not leave disappointed. Visitors and exhibitors alike are still talking about the success of that edition and Show Management plans to meet or exceed that in 2013. Visitors to the show are pre-registered from all across Canada and the United States, including buyers from Arizona and Illinois.
The 2013 event, which is the 15th edition, promises to be an outstanding business opportunity and will surely ramp up sales. The ATS is where decision makers come to source out new products and to see the latest in commercial truck and transportation equipment. Fleet managers, truck buyers and distributors want to talk with sales and technical staff face to face to plan their next purchase. This has become THE must-attend industry event.
“We are pleased to present several new features for 2013,” says Cusack. “We have the Show & Shine this year sponsored by NeverEnuf Chrome and Detailing in the outdoor exhibits area which has room for 36 trucks and combos and should draw a good local contingent of big rigs ,” explained Cusack. Proceeds from the public voting of this feature will be presented to the Children’s Wish Foundation. This takes place on the Saturday of the show. Each entry will have a box placed next to it where visitors can drop in a donation to support that truck.
“The Ride & Drive Feature has also generated a lot of interest and participants so far include Mack, Peterbilt, Volvo, International and Western Star,” said Cusack. “This will be extremely popular with visitors as it allows a customer to try before they buy and to see these dealers in one place, at one time,” said Cusack.
Many trucking and logistic companies in the region are in growth mode, which means they will be modernizing and expanding their fleets and facilities. Companies are hunting for new talent and the show will also return with the “Recruiting Here” feature sponsored by Maizis & Miller Recruiting Specialists. Visitors will be encouraged to come with resume in hand and to meet with HR representatives from companies who are hiring.
Visitors to the event can also attend free educational seminars that are being held daily including used oil analysis and driving for dollars fuel efficiency seminar just to name a few. The complete schedule is available on our website.
The ATS is the venue to witness the launch of the newest and most innovative products on the market that are paramount to the trucking and transportation industry, including trucks, trailers, engine components and parts manufacturers, as well as services catering to the heavy and medium duty truck industry.
“This show is an ideal venue for people in this industry to ask questions to the experts face to face,” says Cusack. “For a driver in this industry who is on the road so much, this is the perfect time for them to stop in and see what is new and available to them to make their operations safer and more efficient, and I think that is why this show has stayed so popular over the years and continues to grow,” said Cusack.
Another part of this biennial event is the APTA organized Breakfast, which will be held at 7:30 am on Friday, June 7th at the Coliseum. The breakfast Shifting Gears – With Keynote Speaker Walter Spracklin, managing director of RBC Capital Markets.
The always popular charity Lobster Dinner and Silent Auction will be that evening at the Delta Beausejour, with proceeds benefitting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. For those interested in attending either event, they can contact the APTA at 1-866-866-1679 or email [email protected]. Registration forms are also available on our website.
