Infra Oman 2012 which will be held from 02 – 04 October, is organized under the co-operation of the Ministry of Transport and Communications and supported by the Muscat Municipality, Global Omani Development & Investment Co. SAOC (Glorei), Oman Society of Contractors,Oman Tourism Development Company SAOC (OMRAN), Origin Oman, Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE), Sheida International Co. The expo will put the spotlight on Oman’s new five-year spending plan (2011-2015): As infrastructure investments continue to grow more development projects are set to be implemented in the coming years the Sultanate takes concrete measures to diversify its economy. The new plan foresees USD78bn of expenditure, representing a 113 per cent increase on the last five-year plan. The major infrastructure projects coming up like the Oman National Railway, Muscat’s Port Sultan Qaboos converting into a full-fledged tourism port, transport and airport development projects, Duqm Development Project, Medical cities, Waste Management, Tourism and Residential Projects.
To cater to these above requirements, the exhibition will focus on Construction Requirement, Infrastructure Projects, Power & Water Technologies, Renewable Energy & Environment, Heavy Equipment & Technology, Transportation & Logistics, Industrial Equipment and other Development Projects.
