NordBau 2012: Northern Europe’s compact fair stays on the successful track

Focusing on bricks and clinker

NordBau – the largest construction trade fair in northern Europe – is fully booked again, for this years edition. The fairgrounds in Neumünster are again, from September 6th to 11th 2012, an ideal location for the entire northern German and northern European construction industry. Over 900 domestic and foreign exhibitors use this compact    northern European fair to show their exhibits on 69 000 m² of outdoors area and over 20 000 m² hall space. About 70 000 visitors are expected.
Back on center stage for this year are top issues such as healthy construction materials, energy efficiency and sustainability. NordBau Neumünster is the platform for brick and clinker, for the entire construction area as well as paving bricks, in their large diversity; they belong to the northern Germany’s, and not only, most popular natural construction materials.
For instance, bricks of natural materials such as burnt clay, with aiding use of sawdust, would stand in for a healthy and natural indoor climate. Renowned producers inform in Neumünster on the remarkable heat storage capacity of bricks, as they work as temperature and humidity regulators, by their natural capillary system.
Comfortable living requires flexible concepts. As such, at NordBau 2012, there will be an experience home on show, structured with products related to the areas of healthy building and living. The Sentinel-Haus Institute, and other partners, inform on a number of practical solutions, low emissions materials from well known producers are to be seen as well as ideas and concepts on how these materials can be handled safely.
