SDLG unveils new products at CTT Moscow

In Russia the name SDLG is virtually synonymous with wheel loaders — in fact, it sells more wheel loaders in the country than any other Chinese manufacturer. But now the company is looking to build its reputation in the country, ushering in a new chapter of growth with the introduction of an excavator and backhoe loader to the market. The two new products were among the highlights of the company’s booth at the CTT trade fair this past June, as was a second-generation energy-saving wheel loader that also made its debut.
Chinese construction equipment manufacturer SDLG used its time at CTT, a five-day international construction equipment trade show in Moscow this past June, to unveil three new products to the market: the LG6210E excavator, the LGB677 backhoe loader, andthe new LG953N energy-saving wheel loader. The unveiling marks a push to expand the company’s reach in the Russian market.
“For the past three years, SDLG has sold more wheel loaders in Russia than any other Chinese manufacturer and we have 29% of the market for China-built products in the country” said Mr. Yu Mengsheng, deputy CEO of SDLG. “With the introduction of these two new product lines — excavators and backhoe loaders — plus an updated wheel loader, we hope to maintain our statusas the No. 1 Chinese supplier of wheel loaders and use our strong reputation to build our customer base in Russia for excavators and backhoe loaders. We believe that those who are familiar with our reliable, cost-effective wheel loaders will find similar qualities in our robust new excavators and backhoe loaders.”
Mr. Yu helped formally launched the new products during a special ceremony on the company’s booth. He was joined by Lv Ying, the Chinese commercial counselor and deputy secretary-general of the China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA), all of whom addressed the gathering of customers, visitors and press. Also in attendance were representatives from SDLG’s two Russian dealers: RBA and SDT, along with SDLG dealers from neighboring countries including Ukraine and Belarus. Alongside the three new machines, SDLG also displayed its LG918, LG933L, LG936L and LG968 wheel loaders and the LGS814L road rolleron its stand.
SDLG has sold machines in Russia since 2005, and its dealers RBA, SDT and KMPK each handle sales and aftermarket services, including spare parts supply, on behalf of the company. In addition, SDLG runs its own offices in Moscow and Novosibirsk to provide support to dealers, including service and training.
