Hatz GB, the UK subsidiary of Motorenfabrik Hatz GmbH the German manufacturer of energy efficient diesel engines reported a keen interest, from a wide range of construction related markets, in their 4H50TIC Silent Pack engine, at the 2017 Plantworx construction machinery show.
Tarryn Jackson, Hatz GB’s sales manager said, “We did have many people interested in our open and enclosed 4H50 TIC units on display, along with our other engines. There were many discussions about the new emission regulations – Stage V in 2019 which is where the Hatz 4H50TIC will be the principal answer for that power range.”
The progressive Hatz 4H50TIC diesel unit performs up to 55 kW at a maximum torque of 240 Nm and complies with all current regulations and requirements, including EU Stage IIIB or US EPA Tier 4 final.
With individually designed sound attenuation, the Hatz 4H50TIC Silent Pack reaches a reduction of the noise emission by up to 4 decibel. Therefore the 4H50TIC Silent Pack emits approximately 60 per cent less noise when compared to a standard unenclosed open power unit (OPU).
Hatz diesel engines are used to power a wide variety of machinery used in the construction and hire markets, including: lighting towers, generators, welfare units and compaction equipment.
“From a personal point of view, I thought it was great, my first Plantworx – besides the mud it was interesting and good to meet some people I have not been able to connect with as yet”, added Tarryn.
Throughout Plantworx 2017, Managing Director, Joe Wilmer and his technical sales team of Tarryn Jackson, Mathew Jones and Dean Perrin, were on hand ready to answer any questions regarding the range and application of all Hatz engines and their impact relating to Stage V.
Hatz diesel engines have been around since 1910. From their manufacturing base situated at Ruhstorf, Germany, Hatz produce a range of modern diesel engines from 3 to 60 kW. Their UK subsidiary, Hatz GB Limited, has its facilities centrally located in Hinckley, Leicestershire.
