The UK is one of the world’s top five economies and has a steadily growing population, so it’s no surprise that it has a busy and innovative construction sector. That means it also has some well-established construction shows, but with the scale of the industry there’s room for some more – and UK Construction Week might be the most ambitious yet. In fact it’s a series of nine shows covering every aspect of the industry, and one that’s generating a lot of excitement is Plant & Machinery Live.
Without the right plant nothing else on a construction project is going to happen, so the latest products and innovations are always something people want to see. The inauguration of this expo is great news for the industry, both in the UK and globally; Plant & Machinery Live looks like being a fantastic opportunity to see what’s now available, and there’s an exciting list of exhibitors lined up from all over the world. As well as seeing the equipment you’ll also have the opportunity to talk to manufacturers and suppliers – a great chance to find out what’s in the pipeline and how to put it to work for your business.
Highlights of the show will include a wide range of plant from Case Construction and other leading manufacturers, plus a range of seminars on both plant and general construction topics. Expert speakers will cover everything from UK government policy in the construction sector to recruiting and retaining the best talent for your projects. This makes it an essential event for anyone looking at building in the UK, not just those considering new plant. Don’t miss the opportunities on offer at the rest of the show, either. Entry covers the whole of UK Construction Week, which runs for a total of six days and five exhibition halls. As well as Plant & Machinery there are shows covering HVAC, energy, timber, fittings and much more. This is looking to be the UK’s largest ever industry event.
Plant & Machinery Live will be running from 6-8 October at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre. The NEC has excellent transport links, including good access from Birmingham International Airport, and there’s a wide choice of hotels and amenities nearby. The centre itself has extensive parking and several food and drink outlets. Admission to the whole UK Construction Week event is free, and you can register through the event website.
