Already, around a year before the first bauma Africa (September 18-21, 2013) gets under way at the Gallagher Convention Centre, Midrand, Johannesburg, South Africa, it is clear that the originally planned 20,000 square meters of exhibition space will have to be extended. One reason for this is the sheer number of registrations received so far from key players.
Gary Bell, Chief Executive at Bell Equipment, sees bauma Africa as a real opportunity for his company. “An international exhibition of this stature in sub-Saharan Africa has been long awaited and we at Bell Equipment look forward to supporting an event which will have positive spin-offs for the region, the construction industry and our customers.”
Major international players also welcome the decision of Messe München International to enter the African market. Hermann Schrattenthaler, Sales Director Africa and Middle East at BAUER Maschinen GmbH: “As a way of further strengthening the up-and-coming market in southern Africa we very much welcome this trade fair based in the region, and we are already looking forward to a successful presentation there.” Stefanie Herr, Head of Corporate Marketing at Wacker Neuson, adds: “Wacker Neuson has long had its own sales affiliate in South Africa. But we never had the chance of presenting the broad range of products and services to a large number of visitors there. We are looking forward to doing that now and meeting customers from the other countries of the African continent.”
The registration documents for bauma Africa are now available for download online at: http://www.bauma-africa.com/en/exhibitors/application. The priority deadline is December 6, 2012.
