Volvo Construction Equipment is using the three days at Plantworx 2015 to find an overall winner and runner up to represent GB in the European Operators Club finals to take place in Italy later this year.
Now in its second year of existence, the GB Operators Club has swelled to over 1600 active members who are all enjoying the benefits of being part of the club and we will be looking to recruit member 1700 at the show! Operators Club members will receive a warm welcome to the Operators Club pavilion on the Volvo stand at this year’s Plantworx exhibition who, along with potential new members will have the opportunity to take part in the annual competition to find the best GB operator. Once again there will be three tasks with the scores/times added together to determine a GB winner. The overall winner and runner up will qualify to represent Great Britain in the European finals taking place near Venice in Italy on 9 & 10 October. (Travel dates – 8 & 11 October).
Aimed primarily at machine operators, the club has been designed to act as a social media platform allowing members to interact on the Operators Club members’ site uploading comments and pictures. The club is open to all operators irrespective of whether they operate a Volvo or any alternative make of machine. Signing up for membership is easy with a simple registration form online or at Plantworx itself. On joining the club, members will receive a unique membership card entitling them to a 10% discount off all Volvo Merchandise whether purchased online or at the Volvo shop at Plantworx. They also receive a Volvo Operators Club branded baseball cap, window stickers, regular e-letters and the opportunity of signing up for the three station challenge at the show.
The Volvo Operators Club is open to all, however the criteria to take part in the challenge requires individuals to bring along evidence that they have the proper operator accreditation i.e. a valid operator’s licence. They need to be aged 18 years or over and reside in mainland GB.
